Course Details

When leading people, clarity of communication is critical. Unfortunately, misunderstandings often occur where we assume (mind read) what another person is thinking, or we project our own bias or perspective onto others.

In this course, we’ll explore how the language technique of Chunking can help you to drill down in conversations to uncover deeper level thinking and to break through impasses by being able to ‘chunk up’ when experiencing disagreement.

What You’ll Learn

  • Communicate more effectively by knowing how to identify and adapt your communication style to a ‘Global’ or ‘Specific’ thinker.
  • Use Chunking to get a better understanding of what people are really thinking or trying to communicate.
  • Recognise ‘filtered language’ (‘Deletions’, ‘Distortions’ and ‘Generalisations’).
  • Apply the Meta Model to sharpen your ability to interrogate reality and ask the right questions at the right time to gain clarity.
